Who can become a member

An individual who endorses the objectives of the ISGSD and who is professionally active in the field of hydrogeology and other environmental sciences, environmental research, environmental chemistry, environmental geology, soil science, plant science, ecology, microbiology, hydro-engineering, hydrometallurgy, water technology, marine sciences, atmospheric sciences, analytical chemistry, environmental ethics, capacity building, public health, social sciences, legal disciplines, or any other professional engaged with water issues and related areas.

Registered Members shall be eligible to vote, hold an elective office, serve on Boards and Committees, and to enjoy other rights and privileges. A person who registers in accordance with rules of the ISGSD will be designated an official member upon approval by the Executive Board. There shall be the following additional membership classes:

Membership privileges and obligations shall be established in accordance with the Bylaws of ISGSD. All registrants for each ICGSD congresses can register as members of ISGSD until the next ICGSD meeting through the ICGSD registration form. Scientists and students who attended one of the previous two ICGSD congresses but are unable to attend the current ICGSD may submit a membership application, together with appropriate dues, to the ISGSD Secretary and, upon approval by the EB, membership shall be granted. A member who seriously contravenes the bylaws and/or damages the reputation of ISGSD may be expelled upon a vote of two-thirds of the ISGSD members at a duly called meeting.

Individual member society is open to those above mentioned professionally engaged in or associated with the ground water research and management. Applications received on 31 st December will be effective as of 1 st January of the same year unless otherwise requested. Payment online may be made using Visa, MasterCard or American Express. Membership is available in the following categories:

Dues: The current dues structure for ISGSD membership is as follows:

Individual Membership rates per year

Regular Member US $ 60 or € 45

Student Member US $ 30 or € 25

Supporting Member US $ 200 or € 150

NOTE: Individual members from Low and Middle Income Economies (list see below*) receive a 50% deduction of these fees
